Hi there, I finally built my new computer. It's a Duo 2 Quad (Q6600) with 4gb of 800mhz ram running under windows xp.

I'm using the latest version of Rebuilder Pro, i have avisynth 2.5.7 installed and I tried doing a backup of The Sopranos season 1 (NTSC format). I used HC Encoder version 0.22 to do my re-encoding. It worked nice and fast. There is one thing i noticed that didn't look right. During the re-encoding, all 4 HC encoder processes showed MPEG for the matrix used but i wanted Avamat7 to be used as my matrix. I even saved the HC.ini file and it shows avamat7 in the file under the *Matrix line.

I've attached a .zip file that contains a screenshot of HC Encoder in action, my HC Encoder ini file and my Rebuilder ini file.

Shouldnt the matrix be showing AVAMAT7 instead of MPEG when it's encoding?

You need to tell DVD-RB Pro to use AVAMAT7.

First add it into DVD-RB matrix folder, then under Settins, Options, Advanced (Expert) Options, Quantization Matrices, Main Feature Matrix, put a check next to whatever you named your matrix

DVD-RB Pro makes the HC.INI, HC01.INI... and so on for each core being used. It doesn't use the one with HC
