I'm wanting to use PowerDVD Ultra to play my HD-DVD's and get 5.1 sound over coaxial. PowerDVD has an 'SPDIF Mixing' option where you can transcode the audio to DD or DTS, but it's greyed out and I cannot select it.
Dispite this, it transcodes the DD+ sound (not TrueHD but that doesn't matter) to DD by default, even though the option is greyed out. However, the DD sound output is very quiet compared to 5.1 analogue, and I want to try it in DTS.
Does anyone know how to actually make this selectable? I've tried with both with and without a disc inserted.
