Hi
1) When encoding from to WMV from DVD, how do I know when I have to use the non-square pixel output option? I thought it had to do with when the source is anamorphic but when looking at the mpeg2s from certain anamorhic DVDs they look like they can be coded with square pixel output.

2) How do I know what resolution to use for my encodes? Since I use 640 as width Ive been tought 2,35:1 = 640x272 and 1,78:1 = 640x360 and so on. More often than not I feel that the source material isn't spot on to this specification. How can I find out the actual aspect ratio to use?

I use ProCoder 2.0 and the source is ripped with DVDDecrypter.
