I found a great guide on how to convert an .evo file to an .m2ts so it can be played on the PS3 without encoding/loss of quality. I had trouble at the time getting some of the required software working together so gave up.

I have since done a rebuild and only installed the software required, which is now working fine :)

however.....I can't for the life of me find the guide....typical!!!

any ideas?

I have searched google and this forum but can't find it :-(

I sort of know the steps but not the fine detail required to make it work smoothly

it was something along the lines of...

strip the video+audio from .evo
convert the audio to .ac3
use sonic bda to convert video
tsremux files back and author as blu-ray structure (cut into sections to fit on a dvd-9)
nero to burn

I know the guide had other stuff in it tho

If you know where the guide is I would be very grateful :-)

Thanks!!

I'm getting nowhere fast!!

after having to completely rebuild my system back to XP as scenarist refused to install on vista I am now getting the error

Error Content: Value of Gaps_in_frame_num_value_allowed_flag is not supported in the BD standard.

Would it be possible just to play the .evo on my xbox360? I don't have an HD-DVD drive for it but I could split the files up and burn onto a DVD-9?

Thanks!

the problem you are having everyone is having. Its with AVC on HD-DVD they have flags in the movie.

It works for there vc1 titles. try elecard xmuxer pro, for the AVC I just find the audio get out of sync.

Yeah, I also tried xmuxer which resulted in a/v sync issues.

I first played the original .evo in powerdvd and had the OSD turned on. This displayed 29fps and nice and smooth

When I played my blu-ray encoded version it displayed in 23fps I believe and was well out of sync

in xmuxer you can delay the audio, I havn't done it yet. but I was going to create 4 500 meg files and ofset them 100 at a time so I can get the audio in sync.

The problem is that the movie is 23.97 frames but flagged for 29.97,

that is why it doesn't like the file. AVC on blu-ray is not flagged. to bad there is no program that can remove all that stuff.
