The title is generic but here is my question.
I need to add keyframes at 5 minute intervals in my movie so that I can import these segments onto the web. I must break them at the exact 5 minute interval as displayed on the subtitle bar. So when the time on the subtitle bar says 01:05:00.000 - 01:10:00.000. I need to have a key frame so that MP4 box will split it there and not somewhere else.
THe files start as AVI's and I use AVIutility to create keyframes, either by using a codec to add keyframes at said interval or by importing a keyframe list. The problem is when I use MEGUI to convert the AVI to MP4, 9/10 the codec of choice is not supported so I have to recompress to convert and I am just stuck with the original keyframes so I still can't split at the correct part. I am recompressing using AVI Recomp.
I have searched but to no luck. I know that MP4box needs the keyframes to be at the point at which I want to split. I do not know if MEGUI only supports recompressed files or certain codecs that I can force keyframes on works as well. thanks for your time.
"Video format cvid not supported - recompress the file first" error message when using cinepack.
