I'm trying to use the new HC encoder with Rebuilder and I recieve a message that the encoder does not appear functional. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Is there a setting that needs to be changed?

It works fine with 0.21 but not with 0.22.

Works fine here.

You are pointing at the HCenc_022.exe file and not HCgui_022.exe... right?

Right.

you are pointing at the HCenc_022.exe

or rename HCenc_022.exe to HCbatch.exe and copy the renamed exe into the HC Encoder folder of DVD RB/ replace the exisiting one...

Yes, rename it to HCbatch.exe as sillKotscha says.

No problems here and I like the fact that it uses all resources, even if only one encoder instance is running.

Big thumbs up to Hank (as usual).

That's what I always do. Just can't get it working. Thought it was a bad download so I downloaded it again. Still no luck. The encoder says error loading Avistnth script. I'm using version 2.5.6.0.

Must be something with your setup then.

When I put the older version back, it works fine. I'll keep trying.

FWIW, it's working here. Check the AVS options (ConvertToYUY2()). What AVISynth version are you running?

I've tried a number of things and still no go.

Have you tried it on another source? Have you checked to see if you can play the .avs with a media player?

I'm using version 2.5.6.0.
In the HC thread I remember seeing a post according to which HC 0.22 does not work with AviSynth 2.26. Upgrading to AviSynth 2.57 solved the problem.

Cheers

I'm sure that would be worth a try, but I'm having no problems with 2.56 here.
