GKnot Problem
hello,
was wondering if someone can please help me...trying to perform my first divx conversion and unfortunately i'm running into a lot of problems...i dlded gnot's pack and am using his guide. i'm on the part where i'm asked to 'save and encode' my file...i believe the 'test compressibility' part of the guide (5 percent of the movie to be compressed)...i'm getting an error, and on the nandub crash.txt, it says:
'wrong nandub.dbg file (build 1853)'
any ideas? please help...thanks in advance
here's my sys:
amd 1.4 ghz
asus a7m266
winxp pro
etc...
ps. if i'm unclear of my problem, i'll come back first thing in the morning...too sleepy and tired...
also...the other night i was ripping a movie with smartripper and ripped it in under 6 mins using dma mode...just last night, i tried to re-rip the same movie with smartripper and this time i got no better speed than 1.3x sustained...with my mode automatically switched back to pio mode...i have a sony 12x dvd (forgot the model #)...when i tried to set the mode back to 'dma if available,' smartripper would start off ripping the movie at 9+.x, but a few seconds later the speed drops back down to 1.3x...here's some specs:
sony dvd 12x
1.4 amd
asus a7m266 mobo
winxp pro
etc...
thanks again...
