Can you convert EVO to Image Sequence easily?

Hi there,
I am trying to convert a small part of an HD-DVD film into an sgi, tif or jpeg image sequence. Does anyone know if this is possible? If so, how?

I am only after picture, and not sound.

Follow the basic directions to get it loaded into an avisynth script. Then use Trim and ImageWriter, load it into virtualdub and play. (Alternately you can skip imagewriter and save from vdub, but you get more formats the first way.)

thanks for that, but that went totally over my head. Is there an easy guide to using avisynth?

I have never used it before, so any help will be greatly appreciated.
