Hi Folks

I'm working on a title which requires CC. The client needs to know how to deliver those files. My title will contain several menus with buttons that play a short track and a "Play All" button which plays all.

I usually make a separate track for each individual piece and drag those into it's own PGC. For the "Play All", I will drag each track into another PGC one PG after another.

How should the client deliver my CC file? For each individual track? Should I make 1 long track and break the chapter point into individual pieces? This is my first time using CC in Scenarist and would like some heads up advice before I spend too much time testing.

Thanks
E

You mean CC as in closed captions embedded into the mpeg2 stream and not as bitmaps? Then the Scenarist Closed Caption format (extension .SCC) is what you want. Never done this either.

I would separate the tracks if you can live with non-seamless transitions when "playing all".

Thanks Man

The client is delivering .scc files. I was just curious if I need 1 large file or smaller ones for each segment - there going to deliver a file for each segment - Don't mind the non-seamless thing.

I would do smaller ones for each segment. You could break the caption files up yourself in notepad, but it's better if they do it.
