So I'm planning on buying an ipod nano 3rd gen you knows for xmas and everything but I have some questions that you guys may know the answers I know the the new nano supports 320x240 videos so the screen size is really 320x240 or the ipod just support that size but the screen is smaller? and if it is smaller what is his size?(please put it in that way width x height)
also I really like x264 so there is a profile here on doom9 for that new nano? or the 5.5 ipod profile works great for the nano too? and I have been searching around on the internet and I havent find an actual size image of the new nano can someone please post it here?
thanks and if you guys have comment, tips, tricks, advices or anything you want to say me you guys are welcome

Keep in mind that there is a difference between screen size an resolution. For example there are tv's with 1080p resolution but vary in size from say 32'' to 47''.
So, yes stick with 320x240. There are profiles around the forum, you just have to use search.
Which program are you using to encode? The primary GUI's around here have built in profiles for just about everything you will ever need.

Well I really didnt understand too much the first part of your post so as you said "yes stick with 320x240" does that mean that the screen size of the ipod is 320 x 240 or just that the nano can support that kind of resolution? or easier what is the screen size of the nano? (width x height).
And I have searched here on the forums and i have just found there is just one guy that makes the profiles Sharktooth I belive is his nickname(sorry if I'm wrong) and He just have 2 ipod profiles one that says pd-ipod and other that is pretty much the same name but adding 5.5, so wich one will work better with the nano?
And last I use staxrip and on that GUI there is just one ipod profile the Pd-ipod one, so I can easily change the GUI if I have to, because here are a lot of good people that create them

The ipod has 320x240 resolution. So encode to that spec.
Sharktooth's profiles are the #1 in use. The provided profiles either 5.5 or otherwise should work fine, judging by the fact that they work on the ipod classic, which pretty much has the same specs as the nano when it comes to video support.

sorry to annoy you with the same question but as you said "there is a difference between screen size an resolution" so by saying 320 x240 you are telling me that the screen size AND the resolution are both the same? (320 x 240)

Size= how big the screen is ex 40" screen
resolution= how many pixels on the screen ex 320*240
