I have an mp3 that is currently at 320kbps and is 10+ MB

i would like to reduce it to 192kbps so i can reduce file size.

any1 knows which (free?) program is good and how to do it?

Hi!
@bent
If you have the original source (from where your 320kbps files were created), I would strongly recommend to use that original to produce 192kbps files. The reason is because when you transcode from 320kbps to 192kbps you'll end up with somewhat lower quality than when encoding from original to 192kbps.

If you decide to transcode, I can recommend Omni Encoder for transcoding from 320kbps to 192kbps. This program includes is really easy to use (no need to use command line).

Irakli

do i need lame encoder or something?

i tried to dl the lame encoder, but it's not a program?

i tried the prog out, but it keeps saying "an error occured while transcoding" etc

and later, the file i selected to be transcoded is gone!
