Hey guys,
I wonder if it is possible to at least partly use the GPU of ANY graphics card to decode H.264, even, if it doesn't support this by default. So I think about simply using the graphics processor as a somehow "second CPU". Is anything like this possible? The problem in my case is that my notebook (P4 2,66 GHz, 512 MB RAM, ATI Radeon IGP 345M) is sometimes not able to smoothly decode 720p material in H.264 and transferring some work, even if it is only a few percent, to the GPU, might help.
Regards
