I've written a videocamera application for Palm OS (www.selectcam.com) which uses the codecs in ROM. There's an MPEG-4 part 2 codec, with very little documentation. I'd like to identify what profile the resulting video conforms to, Simple Profile, Advanced Simple Profile, or something else.
With that, I can use the closest matching QuickTime 4CC in the files my program outputs.
Is there software which can identify what profile MPEG-4 part 2 video matches?
