DVD-RB HC encoding fails when using Bitrate redistribution

I am a n00b when it comes to using DVD Rebuilder. I am trying to backup a movie using DVD Rebuilder using HC encoder. I trying to use Bitrate redistribution. But every single time It aborts with the following error "encoder doesn't appear functional".

Looking at the input given to HC encoder, seems like HC encoder is looking for VXXXXXX_REDIST.avs files but there are only VXXXXXXXXXXX.avs files in the working directory.

DVD-RB 1.26.5
avisynth 2.5.6 or 2.5.7.

I upgraded DVD-RB 1.26.5 and avisynth 2.5.7 and I still have same problem.

The files are created v0xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.* and that is something different. Any help is appreciated

HC might have a problem with reloading avisynth. Apparently this happens with certain systems. What does the info line in the HC GUI tell?

You may want to send a PM to hank315. He might be able to help with a special build.

The info line first shows:


ERROR, Can't process AVS file, wait for Avisynth error message


then it changes to


ERROR, Script error: syntax error.


If I dont select bitrate redistribution everything works perfectly.

Check the DVD-RB working folder, there should be an .avs file which is being used in the redistribution phase (I don't remember the exact name). Post the contents of that file here. There's something wrong in the script itself.

There are a lot of .avs files. I dont know which avs file you want. I am listing the contents of the entire directory of the D2VAVS, if you tell me which one I will post the contents of that file.

These files are never being created The files are created for temporary use and removed afterwards.
