Hi,
A lot of DVD images I get I have to "fix" through RipIt4me and only after that convert to DivX to prevent audio being out of sync becouse of DVD protection.
Is it possible to remove this part of processing and incorporate functionality of RipIt4Me directly into next version of AutoGK. This will save ton of time for me and other people.
Thanks,
G

Hi!
If you understand what transpired regarding the discontinuance of RipIt4Me, you'll also understand why RipIt4me "functionality" won't be added to a perfectly legitimate conversion program...

and further more to what setarip_old said, that kind of development is no longer going on with AutoGK, he's only fixing critical problems and updating 3rd party files that AutoGK depends on's.
adding that kind of feature will unlikely ever happen, even if the situation would allow it,
Mainstream development for AutoGK is no more,
a shame, but mainstream development isn't needed anymore, there comes a time when a program reached it's best point and cannot be improved anymore without doing a complete re-write, and a design change of the base code,
all we can hope for is those little changes (bug's/Issues) Fixes len0x kindly gives us from time to time, and appreciate every little update he gives us,
and if there ever was a feature to be considered, that would have to be a way of fully resolving these Audio sync problems what seems to show on on many many occasions, but even this won't happen, because again, he would have to re-write a whole module in his code that deals with Audio syncing (or write another module that would help correct the audio sync if there was one) and he's not prepared to invest that kind of time any longer, and after all this time, none of us can blame him,

I had this problem with Casino Royale. How exactly do you fix the audio sync?

How exactly do you fix the audio sync?
Fix it in the AVI after the encoding is finished? Or fix it so it doesn't happen in the first place?
For the former you adjust the audio delay in VDubMod. For the latter, since that's a Sony DVD, you decrypt it properly.

What do you mean decrypt it properly? I'm new to decrypting DVDs. I've been using DVD Decrypter which worked great, when I got errors on Casino Royale I did a quick Google search and someone somewhere suggested RipIt4Me so I used that and the decryption worked and I encoded the AVI file and only then noticed the audio sync problem, so what should I use?

Maybe you did decrypt it properly then. I can't remember whether or not Casino Royale came out before development of RipIt4Me was stopped or not. For even newer titles, you sometimes have to use DVDFab HD Decrypter.
And with RipIt4Me, did you do a movie-only decrypt? That could be important as well (you should have, rather than doing the entire movie). And as you found out, with newer titles with newer copy protection, the trusty old DVD Decrypter often can't do the job properly.
Anyway, if you wind up with out-of-synch audio, and it's out-of-synch by the same amount all the way through - a constant asynch, rather than a progressive asynch - here's one way to fix it:
Open the AVI in Media Player Classic. Right-click the screen and go Options->Filter->Audio Switcher->check the "audio time shift" box, and fill in an estimate of the amount of asynch. Hit "Apply" and test it out. Negative values are to make the audio play earlier. 1000 ms= 1 second. Resume playback. Adjust until you get it right. At that point you'll know how much the audio is out of synch and how much to set the delay in VDubMod. Open the AVI in VDubMod, set the Video for Direct Stream Copy, go Streams->Stream List->Right-click the audio->Interleaving->Audio Skew Correction, and set the same delay as you found using MPC. OK your way out of there, go File->Save As, give it a new name, wait a minute or 2, and test it out.
When all done, either uncheck the box or set the audio time shift back to 0 in MPC.
Here's Media Player Classic, in case you don't have it already. Try it, you might like it :):

This has helped me. Most of time the subtitles are out of sync right along with the audio. So run a program called VSrip (to rip the subtitles), the first couple of lines in the log tell you how much out of sync the subtitles are. Apply that number in Vdub or VdubMod as manono has suggested above. [I can't remember but I think VSrip has the delay backwards so if it says 200ms apply -200ms in VDub or VDubMod.]
