Hello!

Just out of curiosity, when clipping has occured and blown out whites is it possible to use a mixture of the nearest colours/levels to make a mask with a gradient and by this achieving a simulation of more info? Maybe adding some grain in it aswell for a less sterile look.

Also I have thought of a "limiter" that checks all the script and if any filters (such as: curves, bright n cont, levels etc.) brighten or darken too much the "limiter" adjust the filters a bit so they wont clip.

I guess this would be quite hard and maybe not possible.
I just think it would be great to use since I use scripts with presets of colour-grading and they can sometimes blow out whites or blacks if the footage get some very sudden change in light.

ColorYUV has a kind of effective auto gain parameter and I noticed oddly that there is a Matrix parameter that I don't have documentation for.

Thank you Ebobtron for your great and quick answer!

Will check that out immediately and if someone knows this parameter I will be very happy to know how to use it :)
