Hi guys,
I have a bounch of DVB-S Mpeg-TS files coming straight from a broadcaster. DGindex fails to demux the audio (mpeg audio) for around half of the files.
Anyone have a suggestion for an alternative? Has to be Windows based and support command lines though.

Hmmm...
Strange DGIndex fails to demux the MP2 audio stream. What version are you using?

Post a link to one of the streams that fails with DGIndex.

I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is. I am working on a fix and it will hopefully be in the next beta.
An AC3 and an MPEG audio can each think they are track 0, and only the first one seen is detected. I have to redesign the demuxing because it assumes DVD rules, where collisions like that don't occur.
I'd still like to have the stream for testing.

I neuron2. I am glad to see that you replied. Unfortunately, I will not be able to make the file publicly available without breaking any copyright laws. If it helps, this is the media info output:
Audio #0
Codec : MPEG-1 Audio layer 2
Bit rate : 256 Kbps
Bit rate mode : CBR
Channel(s) : 2 channels
Sampling rate : 48 KHz
Resolution : 16 bits
Video0 delay : 230ms
Writing library : Gogo (after 3.0)
The file should only contain one audio track since it is a broadcast file.
I am using the last version of DGindex (beta 10 I believe) but earlier versions also got the same issue. The file plays back just fine in VLC and Win Media Player with audio included.
Let me know if you need me to provide you with more info.

Giving me a link to a small sample via PM will not break any copyright laws. And it's your only hope of getting a fix. Beta 11 is about to pop out, so act fast.

I'll have a sample for you later this evening. Thanks a lot.

Final comment for this thread. neuron2 fixed this issue. The beta 13 works perfect. Thanks again!

if sample is less than 20 sec there is no problem with copyright (especially if this is european stream) - so few sec can be uploaded without any problem (i believe that 3 - 5 sec is enough for investigation)
