Hi all,
was not sure where to post this but I just wanted to say thank you for all the help.
I am by no means very tech savy anymore. Since the wife and 3 kids I can change a diaper in 1 minute flat but had a hard time figuring out how to back up my movies.
Well about a year ago I got tired of worried everytime one of the kids wanted to watch a film (for the 100th time) that it would get scratched, smudged or plain broken.
I decided I wanted to make a back up of their favorite Barbie (for my Princess) and spiderman (2 boys) DVDs so they can handle those discs themselves.
Well I was lost to say the least. Started out using magic DVD copier then DVD shrink and eventually with the help of this forum discovered RipIt4me. So much easier.
Though the goal was to eventually back up all 500 of my movies and maybe even the TV shows time and money have made it that since then I have maybe backed up about 12 of their movies and 4-5 of mine. Hey being the only worker in a familly of 5 means lots of hours of work and few for play.
Well before this turns into a novel I just want to say thanks to all here. When I had my question (actually 2 IIRC) many were willing to answer and I never felt talked down to. Rather at least one person help as if he took me by the hand and walked me through a few ideas and suggestions.
So thank you. I wish I could help out somehow but I think when I'll start doing more backups soon I might have more questions than answers. But if anyone ever needs any advice related to HD hardware (HDTVs and HD players etc) I might know more than the average person.
THANKS AGAIN!
