How long should it take to burn a dvd,I mean from the time you sit down from scratch,starting with a dvd movie.
I have been at it for hours and still at it,is there an easier way.
I mean is there a good commerical program I can buy out there.
The only two programs I am using is decrypter & shrink,is that all I need.
Thank's

Hi, depending the drive speeds, source size, and burning speed setting in the application.

We would recommend using ImgBurn especially for DL support.

Also some DVD-R estimated recordable time:

Single Layer Disc
1x = 1 hour
2x = 29 minutes
2.4x = 24 minutes
4x = 14-15 minutes
6x 10-12 minutes
8x = 8-10 minutes
12x = 6.5-7.5 minutes
16x 6-7 minutes
18x = 5 minutes
20x = 5-4 minutes

Double\Dual Disc
1x 105 minutes
2.4x 44 minutes
4x 27 minutes

Shrink is just if you want to fit in on a single layer DVD. If you use dual layer media (every dvd you buy in a store is dual layer) just decrypt it. You'll have a directory full of VOB, IFO, BUP files. You can burn these with Nero using DVD-Video option and dragging all of them to the video_ts folder on the left. ImgBurn is excellent, but to use it the DVD needs to be in an image format (Mode > ISO > Read with DVD Decrypter).

@JarrettH

Hi!but to use it the DVD needs to be in an image format (Mode > ISO > Read with DVD Decrypter).This is incorrect.

Using the "Build" mode of IMGBurn allows you to use a standard DVD "package" of .IFOs, .BUPs, and .VOBs as input for burning...

Ooo thanks seta. :D
I guess I didn't think of using it for that purpose. Is there some reason you'd want to create an ISO from random files?:confused:
