Hi everybody,

as I'm pretty new to the whole converting and decrypting etc. thing I chose AGK along with DVD Decrypter for ripping some of my dvd's into Xvid (I hope this is the right forum). Now I've ripped 23 episodes on to my computer and they all worked perfectly. Number 24 however is pretty strange, because when I play it in winamp it's only running with like 3-4 fps (along with the audio). The only difference to the other 23 videos is, that the last one is about double the size compared to the other ones (.vob file is ~3gb), but I also doubled the target-size. Here is the log of AGK:

Can anybody help me with this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Moved to the AGK forum, hopefully someone here knows.

What does GSpot tell you about the frame rate of the video? Can you try with some other player other than WinAmp? Can you upload a short sample of the video?

@oxYris

Hi!

1) What is the Title and Region of the DVD?

2) Does the original DVD playback properly when you play "Number 24"?

>>Moved to the AGK forum, hopefully someone here knows.

Hi and thanks for moving my topic in to the proper forum.

>>What does GSpot tell you about the frame rate of the video? Can you try with some other player other than WinAmp? Can you upload a short sample of the video?

I will try this as soon as I get to my home-computer where I keep the file. I'll also try playing it with WMP11. What's maybe relevant is that the video plays with this low fps-rate but at the same time the time that's shown on Winamp also passes slower (1 second my actually take 3-4 seconds to pass).

>>1) What is the Title and Region of the DVD?

It's Lost - Season 1 and Episode 24. Region-code is 1 (America etc.) but I've changed my dvd-drive to region 1 too.

>>2) Does the original DVD playback properly when you play "Number 24"?

Yes, that works just fine.

edit: I think I found a thread concerning the following question and I will try the suggestions in that one first!

I've also got a new problem. In one episode that I've ripped (I didn't notice it in any others) the sound and the video aren't synchronal. So you might see lips moving but the sound only starts maybe 1 second after. I didn't change anything in the ripping-settings and the other episodes are fine. Is there a possibility to somehow repair that after ripping? Or how can I find out what the problem is (maybe also with GSpot?)?

Thanks!

This is a set of Disney-produced DVDs. They undoubtedly contain the first iteration of "RipGuard" copy protection - which creates the illusion that DVD Decrypter has, by itself, created a perfect rip.

A simple way to properly rip these DVDs is as follows:

1) Rip using DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 in "File" mode (select "ALL" files, NOT "movie" files) and

2) Load the rip into VOBBlanker, set a new output directory/folder, select "Process all" and then press the "Process" radiobutton

Hi again.

I just tried to play the video in Windows Media Player Classic which actually worked perfectly! But why doesn't it play in Winamp? Should your solution solve this problem (I didn't that yet)?

I also included a screenshot of the GSpot analysis.
