I currently have no issues or trouble with ripping, or converting. However I do have a question reguarding full screen movies. As a simple process, I rip my dvd with dvd decrypter, then take the selected vob files and convert to divx in Gordian using divx 5 codec. I have settings for my widescreen movies standard, using 608 in fixed width settings. Perfect movies every time. I've done some experimentation on full screen videos, and just havent found the right fixed width setting to use, as the results thus far have turned out really pixelated or simply squished looking. So the question is, is there a standard screen size setting that would work with full screen movies, or should I just use the auto width selection, and cross my fingers? Relatively easy answers to this I'm sure.

For a fixed target size, there is no "right" fixed width. The width to choose would depend on the material to encode. If you are confused about fullscreen resolutions, choosing the auto-width option is a good way to go. AutoGK will choose the proper resolution for you based on the compressibility of the movie. FS resolutions are where your width/height ratio would equal ~1.33. If you are getting pixelated frames, that means that you need to reduce the resolution. If you are getting squished frames, you are encoding with the wrong aspect ratio.
Let's say you did choose 608 as the width. Considering your height to be MoD16 (means divisible by 16, recommended), then you'd have to go with either 608x448 or 608x464. Either of these isn't a perfect 1.33, so you'd need to go with the one which looks less squished or stretched. If you want to stick to a perfect 1.33, go for resolutions which would give you that - 512x384, 640x480 etc. For more info, read up on aspect ratios and resolutions.
