View Full Version : muxman 0.15R limitations

I have 2 problems with muxman 0.15R:
1. Can't set audio delay -609 ms (I already found that muxman allows only +/-300 ms delay).
2. The same DVD has 80 chapters with 206 cells, and when I load chapters from CellTimes.txt muxman shows 99 chapters.
Please correct me if I wrong:
1. As I red in this forum I can correct this problem using delaycut.
2. Seems like 2nd problem can be solved with VobBlanker - I reauthor using muxman without chapters and then replace original PGC with new but can you please suggest the most correct options for VobBlanker in this case, also I add new subs and remove some old, can I do everything (keep old chapters/cells structure and replace subs structure) using VobBlanker?
EDIT:
I tried to replace old PGC with new, but received strange problem: original PGC has duration=2:32:32.04, new - 2:32:31.20. But the result has duration 2:34:14.05. How can I fix this?

Try to create a celltimes.txt also with chapterxtractor and compare all results.

Grossmeister probably has 206 entries in the celltime.txt file as that is the number of cells. However MuxMan is importing a chapter list, not a cell list, and there can be no more than 99 chapters. At version 15 the only way to have more cells than chapters is to edit the mxp file.

What if I will manually set 206 chapters in .mxp file?

You are still limited to 99 chapters with a single PGC for the movie. What you want is 206 scenes in the "content" section, and then find out which 80 of those were chapters in the original.
Or you could get a celltimes file that lists only the chapters

Ok, have new problem.
I created .mxp with 206 cells and 80 chapters, but muxman doesn't want to process cell #206, it processes just 1-205. And it can't process last chapter (80):

I think that problem is in shroter playback time.
And one more. When I play DVD using PowerDVD original DVD ends at 2:32:30 and new DVD ends at 2:32:40.
So, why I can't add 206 cell?

The last cell is probably in a second video sequence. MuxMan multiplexed 549100 fields, or 274550 frames. That, in 30 frame non-drop, is 2:32:31:20, which is the end time of cell 205

And one more. When I play DVD using PowerDVD original DVD ends at 2:32:30 and new DVD ends at 2:32:40.
Time map created by muxman is based on 29.97 fps (=2:32:40:26).
Time maps created by e.g. Maestro, Scenarist are based on 30 fps (=2:32:31:20).

That video, I muxed with 205 chapters has problems with sound (it is freezing sometimes on my DVD player).
Too many problems, so I decided just to remove unneeded subs (using PgcEdit) and do not add anything.
