Suggestions on improvement

Ok guys... I need some help please...

Its a small sample from an Indian Movie, even though the DVD was a original bought DVD, the quality seems to be quite bad..

I have uploaded 2 images that show that this source has also ghosting problem..

probably best to post a sample out of the actual vob. DGindex can do this (set in and out point, save project and demux video).

but if it's bollywood, it could have any number of problems. usually some form of field-blending, chroma mashing or ugly deinterlacing. on top of that it's probably blocky as hell. i suspect a lot of encodes originally meant for digital broadcast (like satellite or low-bandwidth DTV) are re-used on the DVDs, as they're often around 4mbps and 704x480 rather than 720x480.

there'll also be splice marks on almost every cut...
