Are there any affordable Non-Streaming HD senders out there? The PC is powerful enough to do the decoding/playback and has all the codecs to support all the various flavors of content (MKV etc). All I want to do is send DVI to HDMI and SPDIF wirelessly directly to a HDTV downstairs. But every option out there appears to either be a streaming box that does the playback and only plays whatever the inbuilt software/firmware supports. Or a Xbox360 type solution.
All I am after is a glorified HD digital video sender (A remote for the playback software upstairs would also be handy but not totally essential).
What gives? What's the holdup?
