I've been trying to burn "The Lookout" DVD but it keeps pausing at the same spot every time. I put in the CD, load it, and the program starts to analyze the disk so I can back it up. However, at 15% it stops and gives an error message. I tried dvdrip as well, but it does the same thing. Any ideas?

Hi!I put in the CD, load it, and the program starts to analyze the disk so I can back it up.You haven't stated the name of the program you are trying to use.
I can tell you that Region 1 (North America) version of the Miramax DVD "The Lookout" can be properly decrypted by RipIt4Me.
If you use RipIt4Me and run into the same problem at the same point, try cleaning the disc. If, after cleaning, you still have the same problem, return the DVD to the place of purchase in exchange for a new replacement...

Going through ripit4me seemed to do the trick. Not sure how, but it worked. Thanks for the reference.

Going through ripit4me seemed to do the trick.I'm glad to hear my suggestion worked for you ;>}
Although DVD Shrink can still process some older and simpler copy protection schemes, it's not capable of processing the newer, more complex protection schemes.
RipIt4me is capable of processing the VAST MAJORITY of protection schemes, old and new alike...
