Setting Output File Size

Looking for an AVI to DVD program where you can set the output file size, so I can have two AVI files on one disk one with better quality than the other. Anyone know of a program that can do this?

Hi!Anyone know of a program that can do this?No, not in one step, as far as I know. However, you can use the .AVI to DVD program of your choice to first create a separate DVD "package" (.IFOs, .BUPs, and .VOBs) for each of the two .AVIs - and then use DVD Shrink, in "Re-author" mode, to compress each one as you see fit and fit both to one single layer DVD...

DVD2SVCD allows you to encode an avi to basically what ever size you want. Just set the CD Size parameter to suit and D2S will calculate the best bitrate to achieve a final file of the size you nominated. Then take each part once encoded and author in your favorite authoring tool adding menus, etc.

I believe you can set the final file size in The Film Machine also.
