Hello!

I would like to switch from Windows to Linux. One last thing that stops me from doing so is that I rip a lot of ShawBros movies that are b0rked NTSC conversions from PAL (). On Windows I use MRestore script for Avisynth (before that I used rePAL filter). I went through mencoder and AviDemux filter list but couldn't find something similar (altough I must admit I am not an expert in all the terms like telecine, ivtc, ... - I understand basic concepts but I could have easily missed the correct filter). So I want to ask for help finding appropriate replacement for MRestore/rePAL/AviSynth/VirtualDub combo. Thank you very much

Try playing with the Decomb telecide and Resample fps filters. The first one has an "NTSC converted from PAL" option. Never used any of them though...

Seems a good start. In the docs is written to use Decomb Telecide and then Decomb Decimate. When I tried it worked fine however it produced stream of 23.976FPS. I would like to achieve 25FPS as in riginal PAL. Any ideas how to get there?

P.S.: I haven't found a way for AviDemux to show resulting FPS. Am I missing something?

I think you could do 23.976->25fps with Resample fps...
