Hello all.
I wanted to rip some of my dvd's to .avi-containers. i used Gordian Knot and r4r like in the tutorial.
But.. If i choose subtitles in the last screen (after the "save & encode"-button where you start the compressability-test), then i can have 2 or more subtitles in the .idx / . sub format in my avi-file.. but i wasn't able to switch them off after.
The "subtilte" tab didn't work at all (yes, for this i used .ogg or .mkv :) )..
The onley resolution i have found so far is
- encoding the video / audio without subtitles
- converting the .idx to .srt subtiltes via vobsub's subresync (workes better than subtitleworkshop or other)
- muxing the final srt-files with the avi / ogg via submux..
Ok, this IS a way.. But i hope ther is a better way :)
i didn't find anything here at all, all the other tuts / helps i found were for just one subtilte or "leave the file with the same filename at the same dir, the player will start this automatic"...
Ok, now it's your turn pros :) is there a way tu mux the .idx-files? because i think the output is better and less error-prone than converting them...
