hi,i'm posting again since i got new problems with encoding some dvds.

I was going to encode this Anime dvd like the last time, but somewhat i found something different this time.

DGIndex this time says that the video is Progressive,>90% film (in the OP mainly) and the rest is Video interlaced.now the last times i encoded fully interlaced or fully film videos, and it was ok but since i'm new to encoding, now i don't know how to proceed.

i tried to IVTC normally with a TIVTC with Anamorphic encoding.
the results is nice, except in the OP,where i can notice some sketchy artifacts, and some bad deinterlace(i think).now how should i proceed?
i was thinking about encoding the OP first, then the rest, but i don't know how to do that.

thanks:)

ah,the fields are not in order this time,DGIndex says Top,but Megui analyse says "sparse field order".

here's 2 clip the OP and a bit of the Video if they can help.

It's not quite flagged properly, but it appears to be telecined properly all the way through. Using decomb or tivtc it works fine. The fact that dgindex reports video doesn't mean it can't be telecined, it's actually pretty common on anime, and very important that you verify that it is before you try to deinterlace.

Oh, you were using tivtc. What artifacts did you get? It looks fine here, screenshot might help. The only artifacts I spot are compression noise.

can i remove those with the options "Noise filter" in megui.
can you suggest me some method?

thanks a lot :)

Well, neither of those frames were included in the snips you uploaded, so I don't know what'd be wrong with them. Maybe they're fully interlaced, as a guess from left field, especially since the first screenshot shows signs of field-blending.

And yes, the noise filter options are good starting places, you probably want light or medium.

can i correct this field-blending effect in some way?
here are the frames i was talking about if it can help in some way

thanks

edit: i tried to re-encode with the "TIVTC+TDeint(EDI)" setting and the result is a little better on those frames, almost perfect, but,in the rest of the video that "Field blend" effect is now pretty hard. There is serious field blending(while early it could have been ignored, now it's pretty annoying)

this is what happen TIVTC+TDeint(EDI)
http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/941/vlcsnap921942hg9.th.png (http://img228.imageshack.us/my.php?image=vlcsnap921942hg9.png)
http://rapidshare.com/files/63506772/test4.demuxed.m2v.html <--those are the few frames that get screwed with the tivtc

in the end,if i use tvitc or decomb,i get no blending, but some interlaced frames still remains, and if i use tivtc+tdeint i get blending.
