What are the benefits of remap a PGC, VTS...?

I was reading blutach's guide about remapping, but I don´t know what are the benefits of remapping a pgc, vts..., so could somebody explain me a bit what are the advantages, or where can I find info about it?.

Is it something related with navigation speed?.

It's more to do with how the DVD is organised internally than with anything else. It's for power users.

But for instance, if you've got a logo marked "Title 2" and then the main movie is marked "Title 1". When you insert the dvd, you see first the logo.

The original is:

Main movie --- Title 1

Logo --------- Title 2

and you swap the order remapping them:

Logo --------- Title 2

Main movie --- Title 1

When you watch the DVD on the standalone, the navigation will be faster?. I mean if the laser will not move so much up and down searching the titles trough the DVD.

No, remapping the Title numbers is just a cosmetic thing (but it's also necessary in some circumstances.) The navigation itself is unchanged.

If you want to speed the startup of your DVD up, use PGC -> Jump to PGC Upon DVD Insert.

One thing that can speed things up by remapping titlesets (if you don't use Jump 2 PGC) is placing small titlesets (including the VTS containing the menus) first. That way, as the player goes thru all the malarky of this warning and that trailer and whatever, it is not forever going backwards and forwards past the movie, which can be quite slow on a DL disk especially. The tradeoff is that the movie is on the outer edge of a (singe layer) disk, which is most vulnerable.

But I'd use Jump 2 PGC, if I were you Tom.
