Hi,

First of all, I want to transform DiVX 2 XVCD with TMPGEnc.
But to have my sound working, I need to put my .avi movie in VirtualDub, right? But the problem, is that when I put the .avi file in VirtualDub, and choosing codec like DiVX 4 for the video, when I save the .avi, I loose image quality!

Ex : Original .avi was 10mb
Transformed .avi is 6mb

I dont want to loose any quality! Is there a way for this?

Thx to all

Yes, process the audio seperately. If the audio is .mp3, in virtualdub use "Save to wav..." and play the wav in winamp with the disk writer output plugin. You can then use your original .avi as the video source and the decoded .wav as the audio source.
For best results set up toolame as TMPGEnc's external .mp2 encoder and ssrc as TMPGEnc's external resampler.
