Hello. This is timecodecalc, a Windows/Linux/UNIX command line app which converts frame numbers to NTSC-Nondrop timecodes in masse. It can take CellTimes.txt files and converts them to Scenarist non-drop timecodes to make it easier to get your chapter positions in the exact right spots. It also can do the reverse to get CellTimes from a list of non-drop timecodes.
I made this so that I could work out chapter positions very easily with Mpeg2Schnitt or VideoReDo and then get them into Scenarist as easily as possible.
Right now, it will take a whole CellTimes.txt file or any file with a list of frame numbers, one on each line, and convert it into a similar file, except with NTSC-ND timecodes. For example, your CellTimes.txt file:
7500
15000
22500
30000
37500
45000
52500
Now looks like this:
00:04:10:00
00:08:20:00
00:12:30:00
00:16:40:00
00:20:50:00
00:25:00:00
00:29:10:00
They can now be entered into Scenarist to make your scenes (chapters).
I plan on implementing more timecode formats in the future. I'd appreciate any help on this.
