Comp specs:
I have a M-Audio Delta Audiophile 2496 soundcard, C2Q Q6600, 4GB RAM just ot mention the specs on my comp.
The reciever is an Sony STR-DB870.
After 6 hours exprimental button pushing back and forward i have finally made a big step forward.
Only One problem remaning, one big.
In some of the movies the audio glitches, or what to say, the display on my Sony Hi-Fi reciever is changing rapidly between "Dolby Surround [3/2]" and "DVD/LD" and the Multi Channel Decoding lamp is flashing also rapidly.
Disabling SPDIF passthrough seems to fix the sound on all movies. The volume and quality seems to be lower.
All my music and some of the movies can be played with the passthrough.
An interesting and maybe helpful detail is that when I restrict the sample rate i AC3 filter option to 48KHz, only some movies audio will work.
When i restict sample rate to 44KHz, SPDIF is automaticly changed to disabled and all the movies audio work.
When SPDIF is disabled by me or sample rate is restricted to 44KHz, the display on the reciever shows "PCM [48KHz]". Otherwise it shows "Dolby Surround [3/2] or DTS[3/2]
I have read a bunch of threads but haven't come up with a solution. So now i'm asking you guys!
Thanks in advance, Jon
