Hi!
If the documentation and help files that accompany your purchased Sonic Scenarist don't hold all of the answers to your questions, you can obtain more information - and even arrange for a private demo session - at:
http://www.sonic.com/products/Professional/Scenarist/quicklook.aspx
For DVD menu creation using Photoshop, a Googlesearch yields the following tutorial, right here at the world of Doom9:

Thank you setarip_old. :)
The first link is not really what I am looking for though the second link is really useful.

The first link is not really what I am lookingSounds like you haven't explored the links on that page in depth - particularly the links in "The Learning Zone".
What exactly are you looking for, that you can't find in either the documentation or the program's "Help" file?
You may also find some useful information via the links referred to in the following thread:

**EDIT**I couldn't help but notice that you made the same two requests in a thread you started in mid-March

Oh Yes, that is an old thread...:), but that response could not satisfy me completely, you know it takes time to explore the materials suggested by friends.
Oh yes, I unfortunately missed the learning zone... I shall explore the link in more detail and post the feedback here. meanwhile, thank you so very much for providing me further resources.

Once again I ask you:
What exactly are you looking for, that you can't find in either the documentation or the program's "Help" file?
By the way - Am I correct in understanding that, since your post in your mid-March thread, you actually sprang for the $5,000 "atom bomb" (your words) purchase price for Scenarist?

Nope not yet. Though I shall have the opportunity to use it for some time...and I would like to use this great opportunity to the fullest.
And I still consider the price as"atom bomb" considering the return that I may get. ;)
Now I am looking for more of a Step by Step guide to to get my hands dirty with this piece of beauty...so that I can edit some sample movies and get the feel of this. I understand that no guide can really capture the depth of a software like this to the fullest, but it can really help you to start in a right direction.
I hope that I have made my requirement clear. :)

If, as you make it sound, you've not purchased the program, yet have somehow obtained a copy, I won't (and am not permitted to, per the Doom9 Forum rules) participate any further in this thread...

Wrong....I have not yet obtained a copy and neither am I going to. Scenarist is not a common program and at least I do not know any way to get one lying around. As I pointed out, I shall have an opportunity to use it for some time and that copy (to the best of my knowledge) is completely legal.
Participating in this thread is up to you, but I consider your remark quite offensive. Without any proof you really can not call (or mean) someone being engaged in illegal activities.
So for your information, I say it again, I am going to have an opportunity to use it..and that is not illegal, and I do not have (nor will I have it) the installation media. You can always read a book purchased by your friend, but a copyright infringement never occurs (and hence unlawful activity) unless you make a copy of it with scrupulous intention (if I remember correctly there is a quite detailed verdict about this by US federal court apart from other court of laws worldwide).

Hello
If anyone is interested:
I could find a starter guide for Scenarist (suited me) here: DVD-replica.com/scenarist

I assume you're making still menus. You can use Photoshop layers, one for the menu, and the rest for the sub-pictures. Personally I don't use layers, but export each layer to it's own BMP(the sub-pictures being 4 bit colour). I then import these into Scenarist.

Reading this thread as a newbie, I also find setarip_old's attitude quite confrontational to the poor OP. It's really not necessary to fight someone into a corner about illegal copying every time someone asks a simple question.
I believe good manners are also part of the board rules.
