Not sure what you mean by "can't save"... just a thought, though, I'd suggest you set the REBUILDER.EXE file to run with administrator privileges.

After i open REBUILBER.INI file in DVD REBUILDER UP
AND I ADD SOMETHING IN IT
JUST editing inside there under OPTION
AND FILE/SAVE AS
here msg:
Cannot create the c:\Programb Files\DVD-RB PRO\rebuilder.ini file
Make sure that the path and file name are correct
what you mean by :

i have two pc's running vista premier and vista ultimate. rebuilder doesnt work very well with either. i ran it with administrator privileges, and also with compatibility mode with xp(service pack 2) but all i get is a partially distorted rebuilder image. i get an error message every time i try to recode a movie.
im told its a bad rip, but when i run it through nero recode, it works and looks great. there are not many posts here about rebuilder and vista, but it looks to me as if its partially compatible.

For what it's worth, RB works flawlessly with my copy of Vista Home Premium. But I can understand if other people are having weird problems; Vista is a total nightmare.

I installed DVD RB in another folder other than the "Program Files Folder" in vista, Since that folder is protected.
For example I have it installed in "C:\Users\James\Program Files\DVD-RB PRO"
It works fine this way :)
