AVI -> Mpeg (VCD)

I really need a tip how do convert my DivX movies to VCD.

I have this TMPGenc program which convert the AVI to Mpeg but I find it very hard to get it work properly!
Do I have to convert th movie from AVI to DivX or how does it work.

Please, if you can suggest any other good programs It would be really appreciated or any other good tip.

I there are many othre guys ouththere who have the same problems as I have.

Perhaps you could use Nero? I believe Nero will take an AVI source and convert it to VCD format for burning. I don't think it is bound to a specific codec. I haven't tried it yet with Nero, but I did try it with Easy CD Creator 5 and it didn't work for me. I heard Nero is pretty peachy keen.

Of course, you will need the SVCD plugin for Nero to do this, available at http://www.ahead.de as well as your favorite file sharing program.
