How do I get "Lame MP3" to appear in the audio compression in vdubmod? I've installed this:

... and it worked fine in Windows XP, but now I'm having trouble in Vista 64-bit. Anyone know what I need to do?

Try the ACM codec (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/LAME_ACM_Codec.htm).

Sorry, I meant to link to that one.
I've installed that one, with no error messages or anything like that, but nothing appears in vdubmod.
Is there some other way to determine whether it has installed properly?
Or does someone have another suggestion perhaps?

What version of VDubMod are you using--32-bit or 64-bit? What version of the ACM codec are you using--32-bit or 64-bit? They should be the same.

Dark Shikari:
I've tried 32-bit lame in 32-bit vdubmod (1.50.10 and 1.7.5). I also tried with 64-bit lame, but 64-bit vdubmod won't start for some reason. Windows just says "VirtualDub has stopped working" and closes it. I do have 64-bit Vista Ultimate for sure.

That sounded promising but no luck. A small dialog appears and says "Installation failed" when I try that trick.

Better yet, trash Microsoft and get Sabayon 64bit.
