Has it got sense to use BD with CCE AQM or is better not to use BD if you've got AQM enabled?.
I ask this because if the CQ value is based upon a matrix given, if it is modified by CCE with other matrices the effect could be better or worse?.

Tom.

Two totally different things... one not effecting the other.
Bitrate Distribution re-adjusts the bitrate per cell (segment of movie) with a OPV "scan" over each cell.
CCE's AQM (adaptive quantization matrix) re-adjust the matrix being used per GOP (Group of Pictures) by cutting the value of each element in the matrices by half, quarter and so on.... till it finds something that works well for that GOP.
CCE doesn't use AQM with OPV. So whatever matrix is used will be applied.
Using AQM with BD will be fine... you are using a OPV to get the "optimal bitrate" for that Cell/segment... then doing a 2 pass encoder after... using AQM on the 2-pass will be fine.

That was my doubt.
If it uses a concrete matrix for find an optimal bitrate and later, with CCEAQM enabled, it generates new matrices, I thought it could have a boomerang effect.
Thank you fishman for the explanation :).
