I have the Mystique 7.1 and have installed Turtle Beach Montego drivers, but I don't feel I get the best sound possible.
I'm using MPC to play normal DVD's with AC3 & DTS in FFDShow set to SPDIF.
In MPC I have set FFDshow on external filters, to use the sound from that application.
I have set the internal sound filters to the following (See attachment file):
1. Is that the correct setting?
2. My real headeache comes in the Turtle Beach controlpanel, because which setting should I use. There is no passthrough with XP drivers, so should I use SPDIF out 48 khz instead of DDL 5.1 encoding (see attachment also)?
3. MPC also have DirectShow Audio with many options, but I don't have any idea on which to use. I can pick one the the listed below:
System default
Turtle Beach Montego DDL Device (00200000)
Cyberlink Audio Renderer
Default directsound device (00800000)
Default waweout device
Directsound: Turtle Beach Montego DDL Device
Null Audio Renderer (any)
Null Audio Renderer (uncompressed)
4. When I want to watch HD DVD/Blu-Ray I use PowerDVD Ultra with SPDIF passthrough, but again which setting should I use in the Turtle Beach Controlpanel? If I use 48 khz there is only sound in the two front speakers, but when I use DDL 5.1 encoding, there is audio in all of the speakers.
Hope there is someone that will help me get better sound :)
Thanks in advance.
