I have a German movie (avi) file and I'm trying to add the English subtitles. I selected the avi file as input source; hit CTRL+F8 to add the srt file.

The audio track is 112 Kbps VBR MP3 2ch.

Under the Advanced Settings, I left the audio to "Auto"

When I preview the job, the subtitling looks OK. However, there is no sound. Does the preview come with sound?

I proceeded with the job. After two hours, I play the resultant avi file.

The English subtitles are there; but there is no sound.

Also, the video is speeded up - the film seems to run at twice the speed! (I have watched the "original" without the subs on VLC and the film isn't speeded up.)

Would appreciate it if someone can advice on how to get the audio back and the film run at normal speed.

Thanks.

I disvovered that if your .srt file has the same name as your .avi and is in same directory, the subs will be picked up!
