I've noticed a few problems popping up with the latest versions of MPC, (using Celtic's latest build here).
For Eg. Mpc locks on a bad avi file (ok, understandable), but when you ctrl-alt-del and kill the task in task manager, it deletes the avi file as well!!!

If you have MPC set as the default player and you double-click the vid in order to play it, chances are that when it freezes and you press ctrl-alt-del, that "del" key also deletes whatever is selected at the moment (the video file in this hypothetical case). It happened to me once, but it's quite rare.

I've tried this again..
The task manager box opens, I move it so I can see the folder where the vid is (doesn't matter what format, I've tried wmv/avi/mpg).
Then I right click in TM and select "End Process". The MPC process disappears (note that there are no windows for mpc visible, and there's 2 mpc processes in TM).
In the folder window, the vid file disappears at the same time as the process goes fromTaskManager.
Wierd!!
