I've seen in many movies and tv shows (like CSI) people using some devices/programs to analyze audio. I mean, they take the "raw" audio (let's say this raw audio contains:
a) train horn sound
b) a woman screaming
c) a noise done by a bird while flying
d) sound of waterfall
...)... Let's say those people want to extract the sound of a woman screaming, which means, make the other sounds be silent... they can do it in shows and movies.

Is there a FREEware program/s that can extract audio like that?

First of all, it doesn't work as well as it does on TV, you'll never be able to fully isolate something that cleanly as it's usually depicted in those shows. AFAIK there's no freeware solution to do spectral editing, but there are modules in Samplitude and the new Adobe Audition. Algorithmix Renovator is a highly specialized application too, but also a pretty expensive one.
