Hi folk!
Can I use EEDI2 instead of bob? Script very simple:
AVISource("xxx.avi")
bob(0,0.5)
SomeFilter()
SeparateFields()
SelectEvery(4,0,3)
Weave()
May be EEDI2 will be make this work better?
With kind regards yup.

Hi yup:
IMHO eedi2 gives better bobbing than bob. More recent nnedi gives better bobbing than eedi2 and combining tdeint, tmm and nnedi you can do even better bobbing, and you can also try mcbob script (i can't judge if mcbob is better than tdeint/tmm/nnedi).
But this is my personal taste in my particular type of footage (mainly vhs captures). You must try and find your particular scale of preferences.
Good luck

AVIL!
Thank You for reply. My source also VHS capture and bobing intermediate filter. I will try. You think that simple script
SeparateFileds()
EEDI2()
will work better than bob(0,0.5)? Or I need use tdeint?

nnedi will probably look better still, but a smartbob is really the best solution. (tdeint can use both, with edeint.)

Hi yup,
Your script is correct. Probably gives good results. Test it. After that, do the same test with nnedi. And probably the results will be more pleasant to you. But you are doing dummy bobbing. If you note that image "jumps" a little with a frame based vibration you need smartbobbing. Then you can use tdeint (with TMM and nnedi support) to avoid jumping.
Good luck.
