Hi everibody!
I want to compress the audio of the following .avi file:
http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/9871/audifilern4.th.jpg (http://img442.imageshack.us/my.php?image=audifilern4.jpg)
I want to do this via VirtualDub. I have the latest K-Lite Mega Codeck Pack and AC3 filter.The output I want is MPEG Layer3 - 48 khz 128 kbps/stereo.
When I try to compress like that: (audio-full proc. mode-compression-Mpeg Layer 3 - etc.) I become an error - "No audio decompressor could be found to decompress the source audio format." I tried also to convert the audio and to save it without compression..but without sucsess.
Please help :)
Thank you!

@sc0field
I'm fairly certain that you can't do that type of conversion.
1) Why don't you just re-rip your original, commercial DVD of "The Sleeping Dictionary", using the same software you used to originally rip and convert, and use the .AC3 audiostream to readily convert to .MP3?
2) Why did you rip and convert your original DVD using the DTS audiostream if you wanted to end up with an .MP3 audiostream?

If it isn't obvious enough already... (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=The.Sleeping.Dictionary.2002.Xvid.DTS-WAF&btnG=Search)

@Dark Shikari
There is nothing conclusively stated in the initial post by "Sc0field" for you to make such a statement with certainty.
Perhaps you can be patient enough for "Sc0field" to respond to the questions I've asked?

Hi again!
magicclue
Thank you for the link, i'm trying to it this way but it seems a little bit complicated. I'll install the plugins for foobar and i'll try. I've used the "search", but I didn't find anything. If i've missed a thread, I'm really sorry.

Because I don't have the DVD...

I'm sorry...i've missed this point in the rules. I won't repeat this mistake..
:thanks:
EDIT
I still can't do this with foobar :(
Is there another possibility? Without extracting the audio..editing..converting in .wav..saving the .avi without audio and then inserting the edited .wav?
