Only 20 fps in fullscreen with mkv files

Hello,

I made a clean install of Vista and now with Haali and EVR Custom i have a huge jitter in fullscreen. In window i have "only" 8.4 ms and 23.97 fps but if i switch to fullscreen the jitter continuously raise and the framerate is limited at 20 fps.

I tried with ffdshow and Cyberlink H.264 decoder for H.264 (without hardware decoding). All is OK with other renderers (VMR9, VMR9 Renderless, EVR...).

Edit : AVI files are OK, so it seems to be a mkv splitter bug.

have you tried mpc internal mkv splitter?
In my system everything works properly with all renderers.

It is the same thing with the internal splitter, 20 fps in fullscreen, 23.976 fps in window. (and I have the two audio tracks ^^ at the same time).

It's strange, before the reinstall everything worked properly.

try and test with graphedit for dx10, or with older drivers. check video settings in nvidia control panel so that mpc has everything "application controlled". can't think of much else. did you put drivers for the chipset as well?
do you mean 2 audio tracks available or playing at the same time?

After many tests, it seems that when I switch to fullscreen (in Haali Renderer, VMR9 Renderless, EVR Custom...) the framerate is limited at 20 fps with avi or mkv files, xvid or h.264 codecs.

The only thing I found to play properly in fullscreen is choosing EVR (but with washed black bars) or overlay.

I tried with older drivers (100.x) and my chipset drivers (VIA) are up to date.

"do you mean 2 audio tracks available or playing at the same time?" -> at the same time, the internal audio switcher was disabled :p
