Klite & wmv9 series does NOT contain this codec
please if anyone knows where to download this codec,
please can u tell me.

1. You have Windows Media Player, I assume. Therefore, the codec is already installed.

2. K-Lite sucks.

3. If you're looking for a Video for Windows encoder, such as for Virtualdub, the only one that exists is WM9VCM, and its deprecated and not recommended. Video for Windows as a whole is horribly outdated and generally shouldn't be used for modern codecs (WMV9/VC-1, H.264, etc).

Try the (free) Windows Media Encoder 9.0 from the Microsoft web site. It comes with a number of codecs including, for example, Windows Media Audio Professional 10.

WMV9 Professional is essentially Main Profile@High Level.
You can get the "Professional" tag into wmv file when encode HD resolution clips with the old wmv9 encoder. You can force main profile or set complexity to auto.
I've no idea if the new wmv9 encoder still keep this "Professional" tag.

I believe we stopped using that tag, but I haven't actually checked.

It's just a text string, and doesn't have any material impact.
