I came across a disc with this kind of authoring (X-Files S1 PAL, see the attachment). I'd like to remove Czech audio (stream 0) from episodes and free the space. I don't know yet if I want to keep the short extra bits with foreign audio (using also stream 0).

Polish audio is easy to remove since it is only referenced once as stream 2, but how to remove stream 0 as it is used also in the English track. Same thing with subtitles, other subtitles are easy to remove but how to get rid of Bulgarian (stream 0).

Assistance with any free program (or DRMP) would be greatly appreciated. I have Pgcedit too.

In DVDRMP, simply disable the track. You'll need to do this title by title since (as you have observed), stream 0 is used for different things in different PGCs.

I disabled track 0 in all PGCs and DRMP reduced the right amount from the episode PGCs, but it kept the total size same as before disabling in Program Chains and total DVD. Output was the same size too.

Edit: Domain stream attributes still show stream 0 as 252.53MB in remaining tracks, including English.

This is an episodic DVD. Check if there is a "play all" title and disable the streams there, too. You can tell if anything is happening in DVDRMP from your disablings at the top left where size is reported.

Sad to say, it didn't work. There's no "play all" title. It worked however, when I disabled stream 0 from every track I could see in PGC view. It however removed the audio from the deleted scenes too, which I'd like to keep. They're using stream 0. If I try to re-enable audio for either of them, the stream size goes back to 252MB.

Because you're removing the streams. Try disabling the unwanted tracks individually.

Or use DVD Shrink or VobBlanker (http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm) to strip the unwanted audio.

Now, why didn't I think about that? :o

I haven't used shrink in ages, always just DRMP. I meant to say I tried also to disable only the tracks from corresponding PGCs. But I couldn't get the total size to drop until I had disabled every track in every PGC which used stream 0.

Anyway, :thanks: for your help blutach :)
