Is it possible to convert VCD to DVD to play on standalone player.
and if yes how.

Just if you author it as new DVD.

I suppose your VCD is a mpeg1 movie. So will first need to convert it
to mpeg2, then you must use an authoring tool to create a new DVD.

actually.. there's an easier way: http://www.vcdhelp.com/vcddvdr.htm. Though.. VCD quality stuff on a DVD really makes no sense to me
