Hi all! I'm new to this forum but I have to thank you all for youe extremely useful advice. This time I have a problem I couldn't solve, I hope you can help me. I'm trying to rip ac3 sound track from my vobs (previously ripped on hd), I used vStrip and Graphedit but when I try to play the ac3 file with windows media player it my speakers (creative DTT 2500 which have a led that says when it is dolby digital or not) don't light up the led of DD.... instead when playing my vobs with powerdvd or microdvd all is fine, I can hear the audio in ac3. If I open for example xmpeg, select the ifo file and try to listen the audio track, again no ac3. I'm sure I installed all the filters correctly, in fact I had first win 2000 in which all worked well... I also tried other ac3 filters and the nimo pack but again no result... I have a sb audigy and yes I disabled dolby digital decoding because that is made from DTT 2500. Any ideas?

I seem to recall others discussing this before.

I think the solution was to use graphedit to (doom9 has a guide for this) change the filter used in playback from default directsound device (eh? close enough) to default waveout device.

lemme know if it helps.
