I've noticed a lot of situations when someone simultaneously has skin tones that are too magenta in some places, and too yellow in others. Supersaturated in some areas, slightly undersaturated in others. I'm kind of at a loss as to how this is supposed to be fixed, because anything I try to do globally (adjusting tint, adjusting color) makes one part a little better, but most of it a lot worse. I suspect this is a fairly common problem with VHS captures... is there any (partial) solution?
I did notice that the colors are just as bad when viewed directly from the tape itself. God, it's amazing how low everyone's expectations of things like color fidelity were back in the VHS era...
